Artfact Appoints Sam Zales To Board of Directors

BOSTON, March 5, 2012 Artfact, the leading live auction software, tools, and services provider, announced today it has added Sam Zales to its Board of Directors. Zales joins current Auction Holdings board members Jeffrey Hurst of Commonwealth Capital Ventures, Geoffrey Oblak of Ascent Venture Partners and Jeffrey Hammes of Kirkland & Ellis.

Zales was most recently President at Zoom Information, a business information provider that offers real-time, in-depth profiles of millions of businesses and employees, as well as powerful search and targeting tools. His management experience includes roles as CEO at BuyerZone, an online marketplace for business purchasing which was sold to Reed Elsevier, Vice President of Card Marketing at American Express, and a consultant at Bain & Company. Zales is also a Board Member at Technion Boston. He holds an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and economics from Dartmouth College.
