1989: Founded to provide high quality, independent auction price information to art and antiques professionals

1990: Signs a data license with Christie’s

1992: Signs a data license with Sotheby’s and releases first auction pricing product

1999: Releases first Internet-based price database product

2003: NetVentures acquires Artfact

2004: Releases new website, Artfact.com and becomes Authorized eBay Live Auctions Service Provider

2006: Acquires RFC, a developer of advanced database management systems for international auction houses

2007: Acquires Invaluable.com, leading provider of data services to UK and European auction houses, and doubles client base

2008: eBay closes eBay Live Auctions, Artfact launches its own Live Auction Technology

2009: Artfact Live! launched with 100 auction house customers

2009: Artfact merges with AuctionZip.com, home to more than 25,000 auctioneers and 1.6 million monthly visitors

2010: Artfact launches AuctionZip Live!

2011: Artfact expands its position in Europe by signing a marketing agreement with Auction.fr and launching its live auction product in France.

2012: Artfact simulcasts its 7,000th live auction online and celebrates two years of live auctions on AuctionZip Live!

2012: Artfact’s three websites break traffic records with one billion page views.

2012: Artfact’s mobile traffic quadruples to represent 13 percent of traffic across its three live auction websites; company launches new bidder console that makes live bidding from anywhere even easier.
